Abstract

Collinear factorization and transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) factorization are two complementary approaches to perform QCD calculations of Drell-Yan differential cross sections. The former is designed to correctly describe the behavior of the observable at large values of the gauge boson transverse momentum q

T, while the latter accounts for non-perturbative effects relevant at small qT. We present basic features and first numerical results of a novel method which is related to both previous frameworks and allows for an improved description of the intermediate-q

T region.
